Kerala Assembly election 2011 will be held on April 13, 2011. There are many changes in constituency in Kerala assembly election 2011.

Thiruvananthapuram New constituency (Seats) in Kerala Assembly Election 2011

There are number of changes in constituency in Thiruvananthapuram district. Even though Thiruvananthapuram has 14 constituency which is similar to last assembly election, there are various changes in constituency in Thiruvananthapuram. Five new constituency came in the place of five old constituency and there are also number of changes in old existing constituency in Thiruvananthapuram.

Thiruvananthapuram north, Thiruvananthapuram west, Thiruvananthapuram east, Kilimanoor and Aryanad will not be there in Kerala assembly election 2011. Instead of these, constituency like Thiruvananthapuram, Vattiyoorkavu, Aruvikkara, Kattakada and Chirayinkeezhu came into exist in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala assembly election 2011.

Vattiyoorkavu came into exist by combining half the portions of old constituency Thiruvananthapuram north and Thiruvananthapuram east. Thiruvananthapuram constituency came into exist by combining half the portions of constituency Thiruvananthapuram east and Thiruvananthapuram west. Majority of the portions of old Nemom includes in new constituency Kattakada and Aruvikkara constituency is formed by including majority of the portions of old constituency Aryanad. Chirayinkeezhu is formed by taking the majority of portions of old constituency Attingal and some portions of old constituency Kazhakootam.

Even though Attingal constituency is there in Kerala assembly election 2011, it has numerous changes. Attingal contains majority of portions of old constituency Kilimanoor. Nemom also changes by adding the portions of Thiruvananthapuram east and west.
