Mr. Marumakan is a new Malayalam movie in which Dileep came as a lead actor. The movie will be directed by Sandhya Mohan under Varnachitra banner. The movie Mr. Marumakan has another specialty with the presence of Tamil actor 
Bhagyaraj. It will be the first movie of Bhagyaraj in Malayalam. Sanusha will be the lead female artist of Mr. Marumakan. Other artists in the movie are Biju Menon, Nedumudi Venu, Salim Kumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Harisree Ashokan, Sai Kumar, Kushbu and Sheela. Bharatha Kalakshetram is a drama troop which is active during 1960s. Troop has done much drama across Kerala and outside. At present Kalakshetram is in the hands of Rajagopalan Thampy. Due to the loss of interest of Rajagopalan Thampi in drama Bharatha Kalakshetram is going to fall. But Ashok Raj who is the son of Rajagopalan Thampy comes for the existence of the Kalakshetram. Consequently Ashok Raj name changed into Ashoka Chakravarthy.
During this time Baburaj who is the brother of Ashoka Chakravarthi reached Kerala after completing MBA. He started factory in Kerala but ended up due to strike. Finally the family sinks in debt. Then the film goes with the story of Ashoka Chakravarthi and its debt.
Dileep will come as Ashoka Raj, Biju Menon as Baburaj, Balasubhramaniam as Bhagyaraj and Rajagopalan Thampy as Nedumudi Venu. Rajalakshmi also landed Kerala by taking master degree in fashion designing from Paris. Rajalakshmi was the childish friend of Ashoka Chakravarthy.
