Manorama invites application for the prestigious Karshakasree Award

Malayala Manorama, the popular newspaper in Kerala had invited applications for Karshakasree Award. The Karshakasree Award is given to the best performing farmer of our Kerala state (God's own country). It should be noted that the Karshakasree Award was started in the year 1992. The award carries a citation, gold medallion & a cash prize of Rs 20,0001.

Those who wish to apply for the Karshakasree Award are required to own farm land in our state. Also they must submit a certificate to prove their outstanding performance for a minimum of 5 consecutive years. They must have developed replicable models in various agricultural activities. The applications are available in the Karshakasree magazine of Malayala Manorama(September issue), regional units of Malayala Manorama across Kerala state & also available by postal mail from the following address:

The application forms should be properly filled & submitted at the Malayala Manorama Kottayam office before 1 October 2012 through designated agencies. The government departments for Animal husbandry, Dairy development, Kerala Agriculture University, Agriculture, Agriculture related commodity boards, Agricultural cooperative societies, prominent non-government organizations, local self-government bodies, Krishi Vigyan Kendras & news bureau of Malayala Manorama are approved as designated agencies.
