The first religious association that comes against Women's code bill is Kerala Catholic Bishops Council (KCBC). We are providing the complete opinions of all religious associations.

Panakkad Sayid Hyderali Shihab Thangal (Muslim League state president) against Women's Code Bill

Muslim league state president Panakkad Sayid Hyderali Shihab Thangal said that Women's code bill is against human right. It violates the basic right of individuals. Women's code bill is promoting abortion in the name of population control. By promoting abortion the women's code bill leads to the widespread abortion of girls in Kerala. He also added that every individuals in India has right to live according to his religion, culture and family.

Hyderali Shihab Thangal also said that in India it is not allowed to create laws without considering religious belief. He also wishes that the Government will take a good decision in women's code bill by considering the minorities of Kerala.

Kerala Catholic Bishops Council (KCBC) against Women's Code Bill

Kerala Catholic Bishops Council (KCBC) also took a strong decision against Women's code bill. Association said that the decision of taking how much children do a couples needed is up to them. Any law or Government has no right to interfere in this decision. Giving fine for third child is against human right and religious belief.

Providing divorce outside court is against Indian culture. They also said that Women's code is interfering the privacy of individuals and also suggests that Government has to reject the bill for the welfare of the peoples. KCBC also decide to send 1000 letters to chief minister for rejecting Women's code bill of Krishna Iyer.

Suresh Gopi against Women's code bill

The first man in cultural field to come against Women's code bill is Suresh Gopi. He said that imposing fine to third child is a hidden agenda by Government. He also added that children are assets and should be treated well by giving good education and food. It is not acceptable to promote a bill which is allowing to kill a baby in its embryonic stage.
