It is an unexpected news that our respected food and civil supplies Minister T. M. Jacob passes away. He is 63 years old. It was by 10.30 pm on 30th October at Kochi. He was suffering by Pulmonary Hyper Tension (a diesease that give pressure to heart) from the last 18 years. On October 17th he was admitted in a private hospital at Kochi. His condition became very bad by Sunday evening and died by 10.30 pm. The funeral ceremony will be on 1st November Tuesday at 10 am on Piravan Aattinkkunnu St. Mary's Church.
He has a clean political life. As a politician he did his duties to the society with a ambitious service mind. He was one of the best ministers that Kerala ever seen. He gave birth to the Kerala Congress (Jacob), which is one of the most supportive group of UDF.
T. M. Jacob first elected to Kerala legislative Assembly as a representative from Piravam on 1977. He served Kerala as a minister for four times as education minister, Water Resources and Food and Civil Supplies Minister . A major step as a minister is the concept of take-out of Pre degree from Colleges and linked it with the school as Plus One and Plus Two. He also take initiative to support technical education.
He was born on September 16, 1950, as the son of T.S. Mathew and Annamma. His wife Daisie Jacob, son- Anoop Jacob and daughter Ambili Jacob.
It is announced that today (October 31st)as a public holiday at Ernakulam district. Tomorrow (November 1st) it will be a public holiday for whole Kerala state.
