Kunjaliyan is an upcoming Malayalam movie starring Jayasurya in lead role. Kunjaliyan movie is directed by Saji Surendran, who is already proved his talent in film making by his previous movies. Ivar Vivahitharayaal, Happy Husband and Four friends were the movies directed by Saji Surendran. Both Ivar Vivahitharaayal and Happy Husbands were real family entertainers presented in a humorous way and have a family oriented theme in it. But his last film Four friends was not a super hit movie and had a mixed response from audience.
Like his previous movies Saji Surendran coming back with another family entertainer with his hit combination Jayasurya. Ananya playing the heroine character in this film. The story of Kunjaliyan is about of a young man who is the only younger brother of three sisters. Tomichan Mulakupadam produces the movie and script is written by Krishna Poojappura.

Kunjaliyan Malayalam movie tells the story of a young man named Jayaraman who is popularly known as Kunjaliyan. He is the only younger brother of three elder sisters. His father and mother died in his childhood, after that his sisters take care of him as their own child. They are lived in a village Gopalapuram which is situated in the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Gopalapuram is a fictional village, actually the place is Pollachi. Jayaraman is a lazy guy and he is not at all interested to do any job. But when Jayaraman's sisters' got married the situations changed. His brother – in- laws did not like him and they did not considered him as their brother.
But one day Jayaraman left from Gopalapuram to become a rich man to face the problems. He reached Dubai and joined in a job. Unfortunately due to global recession he got terminated from his job and forced to go back to his native. But Jayaraman was not interested to return to Gopalapuram without becoming a millionaire. Preman who is Jayaraman's best friend in Dubai advised him to go back to his village. Preman also accompanied him. Jayaraman was shocked to see the warm reception that he received from his sisters and brother – in- laws. They all are ready to accommodate Jayaraman in their houses. The movie Kunjaliyan tries to say the difficulties face by a young man from his family and from society. And the movie tries to visualize the good and bad effects of money which plays an important role in everyone's life and in every relationship. All these are shown in the movie in a comedy format.
