Kunjaliyan malayalam movie review - First day reports from theatres in Kerala

Kunjaliyan Malayalam movie directed by Saji Surendran was released on 6th January 2012. Jayasurya starring the hero character of the film while Ananya as heroine. Saji Surendran again joined with Jayasurya to make a comedy family hit like his previous movies. Jayasurya acted in Saji Surendran's all movies that are in Ivar Vivahitharayal, Happy husbands, Four friends and now in Kunjaliyan.

The movie Kunjaliyan is rated good as an entertainer. The story scripted by Krishna Poojappura is the major advantage of the movie. The character presentation and development was good felt like they are characters that are near to us. Kunjaliyan is also like the usual trick of Saji Surendran that is the way of story telling through humorous way. Jayasurya performed the role of Jayaraman who is popularly called as Kunjaliyan. He is living in Gopalapuram village and has three elder sisters, played by Bindhu Panicker, Reshmi Boban and Thesni Khan. His brother –in- laws are Vijayaraghavan, Jagadish and Ashokan. Jayaraman was a lazy man and disliked by his brother- in- laws.

Someway Jayaraman went to abroad to become a rich man. The situations changed when Jayaraman came back to his village. His sisters and brother- in – laws are competing to love Jayaraman just because of his money. Thus we can see the importance of money in relations. The performance of Jayasurya was too good, feels like he is living in that character.

The first half of Kunjaliyan is good as it carried with pure entertainment and story presentation. But feels like the second half could have been done better. Director Saji Surendran could have to strain a little more to concentrate on the second half of the movie. The climax of the movie was well planned and visualized genuinely. Anyways the film Kunjaliyan is an entertainer and hopes it will be another hit of Saji Surendran. The heroine Ananya did a smart and charming character performance. While the comedy part of Suraj Venjaramoodu created laughter on audience.

The songs of Kunjaliyan are very much interesting which were composed by M. G. Sreekumar. Kunjaliyan includes almost all of the entertainment values like story, comedy, emotion, love, songs etc. So the film is recommended to see and is too much interesting to family audience.
