After a short gap, another political drama is getting ready to hit the theatres. Veendum Kannur, directed by Haridas Keshavan is progressing. The film is said to be a sequel to the popular film 'Kannur' from the same director that addressed the erstwhile political scenario of Kerala. Manoj K Jayan and Vani Vishwanath were the lead actors of the film. After 13 years, Haridas is telling the story in the current period.

Story and Cast

Veendum Kannur is a love story intertwined with the politics. The story revolves around the male protagonist Jayakrishnan. He is working as a guide in the Taj Mahal archaeological department in Agra. He is the son of prominent Communist leader Maadayi Surendran. However, he doesn't have affection towards the political theory of his father and carries a different perspective. Radhika is doing research in the same archaeological department. Jayakrishnan meets Radhika and both fell in love. This relation entirely changes the life of Jayakrishnan. The rest forms the story. Anoop Menon portrays Jayakrishnan and Kathal Sandhya plays Radhika. Sivaji Guruvayur plays the role of Maadayi Surendran. The CCL star Rajeev Pillai is doing an important role in the film.

Thilakan, Janardhanan, Tini Tom, Arun, Irshad, Ambika Mohan and Zeenath are also in the cast.

The film is scripted by Robin Thirumala. He is the music director of the film as well. The film is produced by Lathif Tiroor under the banner of Golden Wings International.
