Mazhavil Manorama Veruthe Alla Bharya grand finale winner Basil & Suma gets flat worth 60 lakhs from Asset Homes. Vinod and Binu secured the 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively. Veruthe Alla Bharya season 1 ends with the grand finale held at Marine Drive, Cochin on 29th April 2012. Popular Malayalam actor Dileep was present at the occasion who announced the prize winners.

It was an effervescent evening not only for the participants but also to millions of viewers around the globe watching the grand finale of one of the spectacular family show in Mazhavil Manorama, Veruthe Alla Bharya.The only question was - who would be the lucky pair among the 6 couples to win the first prize flat worth 60 lakhs? And finally the winner was announced by popular malayalam actor Dileep. Basil was declared as the winner who was entitled to have the flat worth 60 lakhs sponsored by Asset Homes.Talking on the occasion Suma wife of Basil said ' When we came here Mazhavil Manorama gave us food, the dress I wear is a gift from them and now Manorama gave us a house to live'. The second prize was won by Binu & Simi who became the proud owners of a Volkswagen Polo car while Vinod and Sangeetha won homes appliances worth 1.5 lakhs. Consolations prize worth Rs 50,000 was given were given to Philip - Dolly, Promy – Nita and Godwin – Rexi pairs.

The grand finale had a dazzling night with music, acting and dance performances by stars on earth. Stephen Devasia with his magical fingers, Marimayam team with a skit, Naresh Aiyer, Sreenivas and Andria Germiya with their sweet sounds, Roma and Reema Kallingal with fast steps and Meenakshi Dixit with her charismatic dance enthralled the audience.



Veruthe Alla Bharya, a family show which had been running in Mazhavil Manorama from its birth onwards was filled with full of excitement which reached its peak while entering into the final stage. Just before the closing of SMS voting, Philip was leading with around 31% of total votes followed by Binu with 28%. But things changed when the overall performance was taken into account. Any way all the contestants who participated in season 1 put up remarkable performances which still remain in memories. Taking a break from acting Swetha Menon anchored Veruthe Alla Bharya in a gratifying style. She really enjoyed the platform which was really worth for the viewers too.

Even though the first season of Veruthe Alla Bharya winded up, the show will be continued with more exciting participants. Veruthe Alla Bharya Season 2 will be airing soon with 16 contestants competing for a flat worth 75 lakhs sponsored by Cristal group. Nadiya Moidu, Manju Pillai and S.Sreekandan Nair will be the panel judges for the next season.
