Thirumullavaram Beach is a secluded and an unknown beach just about 6 kilometers away from Kollam town. This is a very beautiful beach for a day's picnic. Since the waters are shallow it is very good for bathing and sunbathing too. Since it is a very quiet beach you can relax in the lap of the golden sands and nature. In the recent days it is fast becoming as a favourite among the tourists as well as the locals. This Thirumullavaram Beach is easily accessible from all parts of Kerala
Places to visit around the Thirumullavaram Beach
You can see Nyarazhicha Para meaning Sunday rock / hillock just about one and a half kilometer inside the sea. It can be seen nicely when there is low tide from the shore itself.
There is a famous Maha Vishnu temple near the beach.
You can reach either Thiruvananthpuram international airport or the Kochi Nedumbassery airport. From there you can get trains to Kollam and from Kollam you can reach the beach by autos, taxis / cabs or buses. Road transport is particularly good in Kerala.
Kollam Railway station is just 5 kilometers from the Thirumullavaram Beach. Thiruvananthpuram airport is about 72 kilometers from Kollam and from Kochi it is about 150 kilometers.
