The Malayalam action-family film director Joshi's forthcoming New Year film Christian Brothers is completed for releasing on coming January 26th. This movie is his 64th film after Robinhood which was a successful different theme. In the year 2010, there was no film released by Joshi. Christian Brothers was a long waited release which is a greatest combination of big stars Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Sarathkumar with mega star Mohanlal. Kavya Madhavan and Lakshmi Gopala swami also are coming in key roles. Kavya Madhavan is creating magnificent comeback as Mohanlal's heroine in this film. The Siby K. Thomas and Udayakumar team have scripted the story of Christian Brothers which narrates about family that includes rich retired army officer Palomattathu Varghese Mappila (Sai Kumar), and his both sons, Christy (Mohanlal) and Joby (Dileep). The have used in a changed writing style with much twists and turns in the story. Cinematography and editing of the film is managed by Anil Nair and Ranjan Abraham (editor of ) respectively. Ranjan Abraham is a regular award recipient as best editor in every award functions from his first entry onwards in Maravathoor kanavu with Lal Jose. Also being a standard editor of other directors like Renjith, Johny Antony, Roshan Andrews and Joshy, he shows a constant performance in the Malayalam film Industry. The story of the film is said to about a Christian wealthy family known as Palamattam Tharavadu including retired Indian army Major Varghese Mappila, his two sons and two daughters. The elder son Christy, who is Police informer in Mumbai and younger one Joby has stopped and skipped his seminary life for his loving girl and gone abroad to study theology. Breifely there were nobody to take care about the Major family. His sons are not behaving as he wish and this made disappointed him. So he planned for marriage of his daughters Stella (Kaniha) and Jessy (Lakshmi Gopalaswami). But all things did not happen as his ambitions.The old rivals of Family came in the scene and they stood as a barrier in front of his desires and dreams.
The character of Palomattathu Varghese Mappila is doing by Saikumar and it will be very safe in his experienced hands. The mega star Mohanlal is playing the role as one of his son named Christy.
