Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary:

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is known as King of Kerala Wildlife Sanctuaries, for its exotic collections of herbs, Gardens, Flowers and Wild life. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the foothills of Western Ghats and spreads over an area 777 sq km.

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary Park derives its name from the Periyar Lake which flows across this park. This is the only wildlife park in India where watchers can view wild animals from close quarters during the boat cruise in the lake.

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary home to tigers, wild elephants, Sloth Bears, wild boars, Stripe-necked Mongoose and more type of Birds and Wild Animals Especially that Rich Colored Butterflies.

With more than 260 species of birds makes Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary reservoir a heaven for bird's lover.

Programs at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary :

Boating at Periyar Lake:

Cruising in the Boat at this lake will give you a relaxing mood as well a complete wildlife in and around the sanctuary, while Cruising you can watch all the Animals , Birds and Some Surprise things as well.

A nominal fee of Rs.50 – Rs.70 Can be paid for a single trip, you can get boats for couple, group as well individual also

Trekking at Kumily Hills:

A 4 -5 Km's of trekking can be done at here, there are tour operators who do the help for you while you are at Periyar, while crossing between the land and water and then hills , we can see a lot of Butterflies as well wild non-dangerous Animals too .

Bamboo rafting Through Periyar Tiger Reserve Forest:

Jungle Safari through Reserve Forest:

No, not your Vehicle is allowed to take inside, but you can hire guides and the Pre-Approved vehicles from them at a Nominal fee.

You will be taken towards the top of the hills and mountains en routed by green and lavish gardens, wild animals and you wish you can walk with bulls, speak with birds but don't fight with tigers if you spotted any 
