Sourav Ganguly: We miss you in IPL season 4

Sourav Ganguly, the most successful captain of India remains unsold in the IPL season 4 auctions..

Sourav Ganguly, the most successful captain of India remains the misery of IPL season 4 auctions. The fourth run getter of IPL season 3 who has the best performance of 91 had no buyers in the season 4 auctions. Judging on the cricketing ground, there is no reasons to support this. If Laxman and Dravid who rested in side benches for most of the match in season 3, can be picked, why Sourav should be excluded?
Most believe that rather than the cricketing reasons, it is the internal politics of the franchises that put Sourav outside the IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders, his previous franchise had no mercy on Ganguly. They mercilessly pushed Sourav from the squad. Many of the former players and political leaders were stunned and they vowed against this. Protests came from Bengal and other regions, against the Sharuk Khan and Knight Riders. Social networking sites including Orkut, Facebook and Twitter are overflowing with the protests against this event. Threatened by the erosion of the teams fan base, Sharuk Khan offered mentor role for Sourav, which was rejected by him. Knight Riders believes that the Ganguly era is over and he was a total failure in building up the team in the previous seasons. But sadly, Sourav was the only player showed some consistency in the KKR side during the previous seasons.
Sourav Ganguly who has a big fan base around the world, and who was the most successful captain of India and the best left hander in the history of international cricket was insulted in the auctions. This is the black day for the cricket. If shark wished to give mentorship to Ganguly, this should have not the method adopted. He must have given the mentorship before the auction and given a graceful exit as Anil Kumble. But unfortunately this is the sad end to the career of this cricketing legend, who extended his career only to play in the IPL. And sadly this is the great lose for the IPL season 4.
