If you wish to go for this service on Mobile Number Portability you have to send an SMS from your phone to 1900 in the following format as PORT leave a space then type your 10 digit Mobile Number and send it to 1900. 
Then your existing service provider will send a Unique Porting Code (UPC) to your mobile number. Then you have to apply in the prescribed format along with relevant documents to your chosen new mobile service providers in Kerala by mentioning the UPC inorder to port the number. You have to make this as soon as you get your UPC as it would be valid only for 24 hours only. You have to pay Rs. 19/- as porting charges for mobile no portability MNP and in return the service provider will complete the procedure within a period of four days. Mobile Number Portability Details for Post-paid Customers is that if you are a post-paid subscriber you have to make sure to pay your last bill before making a request for change to new service provider, else your request will be rejected.
