Genelia in Urumi
Genelia is doing the role of heroine in the upcoming film of Santosh Sivan. Urumi is an epic film with it's story taking place back in AD 1524. Genlia is casted as the heroine in this movie against Prithviraj. This is the first Malayalam venture of the great actress. This is the first time Genelia is doing an epic character like this. Genelia has practiced very well to suit in the character's role.
Genelia is doing the role of Muslim warrior princess Ayesha of famed Arackal Sultanate. She joins in hand with Kelu( Prithviraj) in his mission to kill Vasco da Gama. The team has three main members to fulfill their mission. Apart from Kelu and Ayesha, it has Vavvali( Prabhudeva).
Genelia has done terrific fighting scenes in the movie. Seeing the actresses performance in the film, Prithviraj said he is exhilarated. Genelia devoted completely for the film. She practiced very well for the film. Fulfilling the director's wishes, she learnt Kalarippayattu and horse riding to make the character perfect.
Apart from Genelia, Prithviraj and Prabhu Deva, the team has number of other stars from Tamil movie field. Tamil young star Arya, Vidya Balan, Tabu, Nitya Menon etc. Utilizing the star value of these artists, the film will be simultaneously released in Tamilnadu and Kerala. The director is planning to release the movie in English as "The Boy who wanted to Kill Vasco da Gama".
