Today the city of kollam was busy packed with very special dignitaries as time approach for the inauguration function of 'The Raviz 7 star resort' at kollam. The Raviz is a five star hotel with outstading facilities to be called as a seven star hotel situated at the banks of Ashtamudi Lake. At a grand function today king of bollywood, Sharuk Khan was the chief guest who inaugurated 'The Raviz Kollam' today, 19th August 2011. Malayalam super star Mohanlal with his presence at the occasion added colours to the spectacular function. Mohanlal officially released the logo of Raviz hotel as Kerala Chief Minister Oomen Chandy, Union minister of tourism, Subodh Kant Sahay, Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, Vayalar Ravi, Leader of the Opposition, V S Achuthanandan, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Hassan Fakhro, Ministers like K.M. Mani, K.B.Ganesh Kumar, President's Principal Secretary Christie Fernadez, and Pinarayi Vijayan are few of the dignitaries were part of this mega function.
The Raviz with unique feature with a blend of the colonial and traditional Travancore architecture is being designed by Eugene Pandala, a noted architect. The hotel covers a land of 6 acres which took around 12 long years to reach up this stage.
