As per studies, Padmanabhapuram palace was believed to be constructed by Iravi Varma Kulashekhara Peruma during the year between 1592 CE and 1609 CE. Nataksala
This spot present in Padmanabhapuram palace is also known in the name of Hall of Performance. It was built by the great ruler Maharaja Swathi Thirunal who reigned Travancore during the year between 1829 and 1846. This alluring structure is made up with black floor and granite pillars.

Thekee Kottaram
Thekee Kottaram present in Padmanabhapuram Palace is also known in the name of Southern Palace. Today, it serves as a heritage museum beholding antique household articles.

Thai Kottaram
Thai Kottaram, else known as Mother's Palace is considered as the oldest construction in palace complex. Nalukettu and Ekantha Mandapam are some among the important structures present inside Thai kottaram.

Mantrasala
