Malayalam Super Star Mohanlal and commercial director Priyadarshan is teaming together after an interval of 7 years in Oru Marubhoomikadha. The comedy action thriller film directed by Priyadshan has already completed its shooting in the sand dunes of Abudabhi and is set to release on November 4th. Featuring Mohanlal, Mukesh,Bhavana and Lakshmi Rai in the lead, the movie is produced by by Ashok Kumar, Jamal Al Nuaimi and Naveen Shashidharan under the banner Jancos Entertainment. The script is apparently very funny and top Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is doing a guest role in the movie. The film, an adventure story, follows two friends living in Abu Dhabi through car crashes, mistaken identity and kidnapping.
Earlier the movie was named as 'Arabeem Ottakavum, P Madhavan Nairum' well before it's shoots. But now the movie is rechristened to 'Oru Marubhoomikadha'. The decision was taken by team due to mention of a group of people in the title. A suggestion in that direction was also expected when the movie will be sent to the censors. But the change of title had happened well before that. There was a tremendous pressure from the NRI's in Gulf. This is not the first time Malayalam Movies running into trouble in gulf. Earlier Kavya Madhavan's Ghaddama was banned throughout in Middle east due to its theme about the hardships faced by a Malayali housemaid in Saudi Arabia. But luckily Sreenivasan's Arabhikatha managed to pass under the Arabs' scanner as well as successfully depict the life of Malayali labourers in the Emirates.
Oru Marubhoomi Kadha is set to release on November 4th as a Bakrid gift to all Keralites. We can hope this team will bring another super hit movie for malayalam movie lovers.Cast
