Noted Malayalam poet K.Satchidandan is nominated for Nobel Prize 2011.The Malayalam poet is the only Indian in the List of Nominees. It is Great Honor for Kerala, it been 27 years now since a malayalee was nominated for Noble Prize.

Noted Malayalam poet K. Satchidanandan is nominated for the most prestigious Nobel Prize for his works in Malayalam and his translational works both from Malayalam to English and from other foreign languages to Malayalam. He is only Indian in the probable list

Sachithandan is only the Second malayalee to be nominated for the greatest awards of the globe, it was Kamala Surayya who was nominated for Nobel Prize, it was 27 years ago. Sachidanadan said that it was a dream come true for him to be nominated for Nobel Prize, that too along with his favorite and greatest writer like Adonis.
Only few Indians who was awarded with Nobel prize Only Rabindranath Tagore is from the field of Literature, it is great honor for the Country as well as for Malyalees.
