Indian Rupee- Ranjith-Prithviraj Compo after Thirakkadha
Once again Prithviraj and Ranjith together for a sincere movie- Indian Rupee. As the name suggests the film tries to portray the lives of youngsters in our society to earn money in quick way within short time. The film mainly depicts the consequences of real estate business in Kerala. The rush for money without thinking twice may ruin the whole life- an apt message to the society which is the director gives through the film.
The director has full support from all the actors in the movie including Prithviraj and Thilakan. Rima Kallingal, Swetha Menon and Mallika has short roles, but significant in the story. This is really the viewers like to see in Prithviraj rather than his larger than hero image in his previous movies. We can see Prithviraj as Jayaprakash, known as J.P, a normal man with his own dreams. His only desire is to make money through various ways. He has support from Achutha Menon ( Thilakan), a man with enough experience in his life. How J.P fullfills his dreams and what will be the consequences are the main story of the film. Indian Rupee released today all over the Kerala under the distribution of August Cinemas. The film is produced by the production company of Prithviraj aong with Shaji Nateshan and Santhosh Sivan. The First Show of Indian Rupee Malayalam Movie just ends with positive response from the crowd. As expected the movie is a good one with classy direction from Ranjith. No doubt to say that Indian Rupee will end up as a box office hit. The movie starts in a slow pace, but thereafter the movie proceed in an engaged manner and end up as a thriller. The first half is to set a good platform for the great second half. The movie has everything in its right dose- humour, love, sentiments and action. The climax is also good. Ranjith here comes with a good script with no loopholes and make it to a good film with his classy direction.
At last Prithviraj got a good character and Indian Rupee will be one of his good movie always remembered. Another name to mention is Thilakan, what a marvellous acting in this age too. He is class and act as a central character in the story. Rima Kallingal also got a good character after a while. She is apt for the role given to him. Other supporting cast like Jagathy, Lalu Alex, Tini Tom, Nedumudi Venu, Asif Ali(Guest role) etc did their role in perfect manner.
The technical side of the movie is also good. The songs are beautifully picturised and will surely become hits. Shahabaz Aman will get a break through this movie.The camera and Editing is also good.
Altogether the film is a simple feel good movie with a nice message to the society.
