IFFK 2011 - 2 malayalam films selected

Another achievement for Malayalam film Adaminte Makan Abu which is directed by Salim Ahmed. Yes, the prestigious films of Malayalam 'Adaminte Makan Abu' and 'Aadimadhyantham' are being selected for the sixteenth edition of International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) to be held from December 9 to 16 at Trivandrum. Aadimadhyantham is directed by Sherrey. Two more Indian films are also includes in the 14 short listed movie ofselected for the International Film Festival of Kerala. The Hindi/English film 'Delhi in a Day', directed by Prashanth Nair and the Bengali film 'Abosheshey', directed by Aditi Roy are the other Indian films for this competition.

The other ten films for International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) are:- Ndoto za Elibidi (KENYA) directed by Kamau Wa Ndung'u/ Nick Reding, Body (Vucut) the Turkish film directed by Mustafa Nuri, Syrian film September Rain (Matar Ayloul) directed by Abdellatif Abdelhamid, Mexican film A Stone's Throw Away (A Tiro de Piedra) directed by Sebastian Hiriat, The film from Argentina The Cat Vanishes (El Gato Desaparece) directed by Carlos Sorin, the Carlos Cesar Arbelaez film The Colours of the Mountains (Los Colores de la Montana) from Panama/Columbia, The Painting Lesson (La Leccion de Pintura) Chile/Mexico film directed by Pablo Perelman, Hamid Reza Aligholian film Flamingo No.13' (Flamingo Shomareh 13) from Iran, Black Blood from China/France the Miaoyan Zhang film, Philippines film Palawan Fate directed by Auraeus Solito are other Foreign films for this great event.

More than 10000 delegates and 150 guests from other countries will participate in the mega event. The 14 films are screened in five A class theaters in capital city.
