All film lovers in Kerala are expecting a legend movie with the announcement of Randamoozham's screen version. Randamoozham is a classical novel written by M.T Vasudevan Nair in the year 1984. The film is directed by Hariharan who is the best combination with M.T. The film though makes much expectation from the hit film making team – Hariharan and M.T. Both joined in 'Pazhassiraja' (2009) and 'Oru Vadakkan Veeragada' (1989) which were the two classical hits ever in Malayalam film industry.
There had a much talk about 'who will do the role of Bheema?. Now the rumors got an end. Bheema will perform by none other than Mohanlal. After the super hit movie Pazhassiraja which had Mammooty in lead, Hariharan selected Mohanlal for the role of Bheema in Randamoozham. It would be a very happy news for all Mohanlal fans. Mohanlal said that he will definitely give complete dedication to the role of Bheema. Randamoozham is a classic novel read by so many people and everyone may have more curious about how it is to be view on screen.
Hariharan is also glad, said that he is so much happy for casting Mohanalal in his new film. Mohanlal is perfectly suit for the role of Bheema. M.T too agrees with this. The rumor says that Mammootty too will be in the movie. But the cast of other roles such as Duryodhana, Arjuna, Yudistira, Kundi etc are not yet confirmed. Mohanlal had the experience with the character 'Bheema', as he performed in the drama Chayamukhi as Bheema. Mohanlal- M.T – Hariharan trio's first film was 'Panchagni' (1986). Now through 'Randamoozham' they are joining after a long gap of 25 years; their last film was 'Amritam Gamaya' (1987).
The film is producing by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Shree Gokulam Movies. 'Randamoozham' will release in seven languages including English. The shooting of the movie will start on March 2012. The budget of Randamoozham is around 50 crores which is much higher than Pazhassiraja (which had a budget of 27 crores).About 'Randamoozham'
Randamoozham is considered as the masterpiece novel of M. T. vasudevan Nair. The novel was written in the year 1984 and it was also translated to English in 1997 named as 'Second Turn'. M. T won the Jnanpith - highest literary award from Indian government in the year 1997 for the novel Randamoozham. The novel has a wide readership. The story of the novel is like the retelling of the Indian epic Mahabharatha from the view of Bheema, who was the second one of five Pandavas.
