The kannur Medical College is about 180 acres and its environment is with greenish color. College is with full-fledged classrooms, hostels and libraries. This college was established in March 1993.Infrastructure facilitates of Kannur Medical College
Facility inside campus: College is with well equipment, modern facilities laboratory and with well know ledged faculties. Hospital is available inside campus for practical training of the students.
About classroom: Mainly this contains 4 classes and one class can accommodate 180 students at a time. It contain one separate class that has a LCD, OHP, Audio facilities this room can accommodate 350 students. Separate Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology lab can accommodate 90 people at a time and this lab with LCD, OHP and Audio facility.
Library: The library is about 4000sq.m and with two floors. The library contains 6645 books in that 119 are International journals and 57 are National journals. 555 CDs, 200 text books, videos and literature are available. Separate reference books for teaching staffs and students. Internet connection is also for both teaching staff and students. Photostat can be taken inside library for visitor need.
Hospital facility: There is a separate hospital for student training. They have all new technology to serve for people. The staff inside hospital help student to take eminent training.
Accommodation details: College is with separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls inside campus. Separate quarters for faculties and with full sophisticated facility. Students are with separate study rooms and TV rooms for entertainment. Gym facilities are also available for students to maintain their health condition. Tennis, badminton, carom, chess and table tennis are the indoor games available and with stadium. Volley ball, Basket ball and Foot ball court are available for the students inside hostel campus. Full security is provided for students inside hostel and principal act as a superior warden. Admission details: Admission is under merit, student passed in common entrance examination. 50% of the students are admitted through government quota and remaining 50% of the students are admitted through management. Management students also write the common entrance examination and based on their cut-off only student get admission. Fees structure is very low when compare to other medical college in Kerala.
Departments: Cardiology, Neurology, General medicine, Anesthesiology, Radio diagnosis, Nuclear medicine, Ophthalmology, Vireo retinal surgery, Pediatric genetics, Pediatric surgery, Physical medicine and rehabilitation, Pulmonary medicine, Radiology, Rheumatology and clinical immunology, Speech pathology and Urenology these are main department in Kannur Medical College.Activities
