The Providence Women's College was founded and came into being on 1952. This college is accredited by NAAC and affiliated to the University of Calicut. This college initially affiliated to Madras University then the affiliation has been changed to Kerala University and now it was affiliated to University of Calicut. College Library: The library has wide collections of books. This college has around 49000 books and also subscribed around 90 journals, daily newspaper and periodicals. This college library will operated in all weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm. In this college all the departments has their own library. There is separate reading room available in this library. This college library is fully computerized.
Multimedia Lab : The lab consists of around 26 desktops with high configuration. This Multimedia Lab which is useful for the students who are doing their Multimedia course and for the students who are doing their BBA. All the systems are also having the internet facility. The other facilities available in this Multimedia Lab are printer, scanner, UPS and generator. This lab will function on all the weekdays. The students who are doing their multimedia courses are provided with the course completion certificate on multimedia.
Hostel: The hostel can accommodate around 500 students. In hostel provide both vegetarian and non vegetarian food to the students in the hostel. All the students staying in the hostel should follow the hostel rules and regulation. The students staying in the hostel are responsible for their belongings. Visitors are allowed to see the hostel students during Sundays and holidays. There is common phone facility available in hostel where the students can make or receive the call from 8 am to 9 am and 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Sports: The playground alone built around 5 acres. In college have separate Table tennis court, Indoor Basketball court and so many separate areas for different sports. This college also has Fitness center for both the staff and students benefit. There is separate sports hostel available for the sports students.
