Viswa Jyothi College of Engineering and Technology is a private self financial technical institution affiliated to MG University, Kottayam and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Within a limited span of time the college established itself as one of the leading institution around in academic excellence. Even though the college established in 2001, it has come a long way providing result oriented training in various fields of engineering outshining other similar institution. Hostel facilities:Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology provide a well equipped and separate hostel for boys and girls. Modern facilities are provided in each hostels Both the gents and ladies hostels located inside the campus which makes easy access between college and students. Boys hostel is under the control of chief warden Rev.Fr. George Kunnamkot and resident tutors and girls hostel is controlled by the chief warden Sr. Gracia and resident tutors. The boys hostel can accommodate 250 boys and girls hostel can accommodate 230 girls.
Central Library:College provide a well equipped library with many volumes of books, journals, periodicals, magazines and many news papers with a for the students and teachers striving for acquiring and constructing knowledge. Modern facilities are provided inside the library. For quick access all the books are arranged in an ordered and subject wise manner. Books are issued to the user through bar-coded identity card scanned in through computer. A specious reading room is also provided in the central library and students can refer any books at any time.
Network and internet:College have well equipped and fully air conditioned computer laboratories couples with high speed internet facilities. They have 900 computers and 11 servers in the campus and all of these are connected across a single LAN. All the servers are working 24 hours throughout the year. All the students can access their data at any time during working hours. Also Viswa Jyothi is a Wi-Fi enabled campus which is controlled and monitored by the Wi-Fi Manager switch Administrative block.
Auditorium:College has a main auditorium having seating capacity 1500 and a mini auditorium having seating capacity 250. The college events are conducted in these main auditorium and mini auditorium. Besides these college provide separate seminar hall for each departments with mounted projector setup.
Fitness centre:Viswa Jyothy College provide a well maintained and well equipped fitness centre for the students to maintaining good physical health. IT has a Multi Gym with all most modern equipments. Students as well as staff can use this facility. It helps the students to look and feel better and to do the daily tasks vigorously and actively. Gym facility can be utilized either in the morning or in the evening times.
Training and placement cell:A training and placement cell is formed for the student community with a view to choosing careers, facing interviews, preparing resumes and placing properly. The cell try to inculcate a winning attitude and empower the students with necessary skills to take on the dynamics of a challenging world. It try to motivate and prepare the students for successful performance in higher exams like GATE, GMAT, TOFEL, GRE. Quite a number of students offered placement in reputed firms in all the years. Conveyance: College have transportation facilities for the conveyance of the students as well as staffs. Presently college has 13 bus services to various places in Ernakulam and Idukki district. Bus timings are accurate and it reach the campus by 8.30 AM in the morning and leave the campus by 4.30 PM.
General store:College have a general store where the books, instruments and accessories required for students as well as staffs are available. The store runs in the interval times and it is controlled by the Administrative department.
Hospital: The management of Viswa Jyothi runs a hospital 'St. George Hospital' ant Vazhakulam, which provide all medical facilities to the college. This Hospital has 24 hr emergency unit.
Canteen: Viswajyothi Canteen is runs in the campus which serves most of the delicious Indian dishes. The canteen has a total seating capacity of 150.Modern facilities are provided inside the canteen.
Cafeteria service: College provide cafeteria service to all the students and faculties in the campus. It is located at the first floor of the D block.
ATM services: Two ATM centers are provided in the college campus so that the students can withdraw cash at any time. South Indian Bank ATM is located inside the campus near to the ladies hostel which makes the female students to access it easily. Axis Bank ATM service is located near the main gate of college.
