Asif Ali completed his BBA from Marian College, Kuttikkanam. He was very much interested in acting in films. Asif Ali started his film career by acting in the film Ritu directed by Shyamaprasad. This was a 2009 Malayalam film produced by Vachan Shetty. In this film the lead roles were played by Asif Ali, Rima Kallingal & Nishan. The cinematography of the film was done by Shamdat. The second film of Asif Ali was Kadha Thudarunnu, which was the 50th film of director Sathyan Anthikkad. This film was produced by Thankachan Emmanual & was released in the year 2010. The music & cinematography of this film was done by Illayaraja & Venu respectively. Asif Ali played the character Shanavas in this film.
