D31st: It's all about celebration, fun and thrills

While closely observing the theme and presentation of movies produced in malayalam, We can find them flavoured with elements of a commercial entertainer which make it stand unique in the crowd. Even tagged under the category of new generation movies, each creation do have its own framework luring viewers onto its side.

As people love to be a part of celebrations in life, movie makers also give much importance to those themes which focus on enjoyment and ovation. A bunch of youngsters with the dream of putting their foot strong in the malayalam film industry is gearing up to lend their face for Shivaprasad's directorial debut 'D31st'.

Shivaprasad who had assisted director Padmakumar for his previous movies is making an independent entry with 'D31st' featuring a group of fresh actors in lead. This fun filled movie tells the tale of two friends and about those interesting incidents that happen on a New Year Eve.

The movie is themed around few interesting incidents, surrounding 31st December and New Year Eve. During the peak of the celebrations, a tragic incident brings drastic changes in the life of them. Even though the movie is categorized as a thriller, it is portrayed in a humorous way.

The movie will have Wilson Joseph, Niyaz, Nandu, Swasika and Vidya Lakshmi in lead. For the lyrics of Sreekumaran Thambi, the tunes will be set by Bijibal. Swasika, a busy actress in south indian movies will be seen in a prominent role. Starting her acting debut in malayalam with Cinema Company, Swasika made her presence in Ayalum Njanum Thammil and Prabhuvute Makkal. Point Black with Rajeev Pillai and tamil movie Ranam have competed shooting and currently under post production. On The Way, Celebration, Kaatu Paranja Katha, Parayan Baaki Vechathu and Orissa are her ongoing projects.
