ILM College of Engineering and Technology Perumbavoor, Ernakulam is one among the leading private self financial engineering colleges in Kerala established in the year 2012 and is owned by Islamic Learning Mission Trust. The college has the affiliation of Mahatma Gandhi (MG) University and is recognized by ' All India Council for Technical Education ' (AICTE). The campus which sprawled across 11 acres of land with a built up area of 7000 sq.m is situated at Perumbavoor near Aluva railway station and is at a distance of 30km from the district head quarters. Dr. Jobi V Paul, a PhD holder in civil engineering is the present principle of this institution. Earlier he crowned the position of principle in Carmel Engineering college and MET'S engineering college. ILM has a set of well qualified and experienced faculties in each of the five department. Mode of admission in ILM college of engineering is strictly based on merit. Presently college offer 5 B.Tech degree courses with an intake of 60 students in each department. 50% of the seats is filled on the basis of allotment from MG university and the remaining 50% is on management quota, which is also on the merit basis. For admission, students should pass both in plus 2 and All Kerala Entrance Examination. Courses Offered
Civil Engineering - 60 seats:Civil engineering is the oldest branch of engineering which has always provided enduring monuments and lasting legacies. It offers you a wide range of career options in any of its fields, let it be in designing, planning, research, construction, teaching etc. Civil Engineers are regarded as the problem solvers. Mechanical Engineering:Mechanical Engineering is a broad branch of engineering which mainly deals with the manufacturing of different machineries. Now most of the students chose this branch due to its wide career options. For Mechanical Engineering department, ILM College engineering provide a total of 60 seats with the presents of experienced faculties. A well equipped and modern lab is given by the college for mechanical engineering students.
Electrical and Electronics Engineering:An oldest and broad branch of engineering which has various disciplines such as nanotechnology, photonics, power systems, telecommunication etc. Comparing with other branches, Electrical and Electronics Engineering has most placement and job opportunities. Computer Science and Engineering:Now it's eon of computer. We can't achieve modern civilization without computer engineers. They plays key role in the technological development of a country. Even though it's a new branch in engineering field, it has now emerged in to the level of other branches due its placement and job opportunities. Presently ILM college provide 60 seats for computer science and engineering department with a set of highly qualified faculties. Also college provide a spacious computer lab for this department.
Aeronautical Engineering:Even though it's a rare branch in Engineering colleges of Kerala, ILM college of engineering provide a total of 60 seats for this department with best facilities and faculties to become a perfect aeronautical engineer. Accommodation:ILM college of engineering provide seperate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Both the hostels are nearer to the campus and are designed in such a way to provide good learning condition for their students. Presently both the hostels can accommodate 60 students. The hostels are well equipped and hygienic and are maintained by the staff all the time. Vegetarian and non vegetarian messes are arranged in both the hostels. All students, who want the admission to the hostel should pay caution deposit allotted by the college.
Digital library:As far as considering an engineering college, a library is essential to furnish the students with vast knowledge resources. ILM college of engineering provide a spacious digital library with extensive collection of textbook besides journals, periodicals, magazines, news papers etc. A reprographic centre is also functioning inside the library with all the facilities. Transportation:ILM college has its own transportation vehicle for the conveyance of students as well as staff members. Presently college own 5 well conditioned transporting vehicle that services to major parts of the districts such as Nerimangalam, Koothattukulam, Kakkanad, Chalakkudy and Chottanikkara. The buses are under the maintains of experienced drivers which provides the students a well secured and comfortable journey.
