Ammas Kerala Strikers is well set to play in the upcoming second edition of Celebrity Cricket League. Ammas Kerala Strikers led by Malayalam Super star actor Mohan Lal is one among the 6 teams participating in the Twenty20 cricket tournament in CCL. The opening match will be played between Mumbai Heroes and Telugu Warriors on 13th January 2012 at Sharjah. Kerala strikers will play their first match on 21 January against Chennai rhinos on 21st January at Hyderabad.

Kerala Strikers in CCL2

Team Ammas Kerala strikers consists of players representing Malayalam film industry led by super star Mohanlal. The team is jointly owned by the Malayalam film super star Mohanlal, film director Priyadashan's wife Lissy priyadarshan and Chennai based entrepreneur P M Shaji. This group had keen interest in owning a cricket team in Indian Premier League, but fulfilled the dream by joining in the Celebrity Cricket League. This is the second edition of CCL T20. A total of four teams played in the first edition of CCL. Kerala Strikers and Bengal Tigers joined this time to make it 6. Kerala T20 crickets fans were depressed after the exit of Kochi Tuskers from IPL. But now they can cheer for the celebrity cricket league. The 'facebook like page' is a clear example for the support from Kerala cricket fans. Kerala Strikers official facebook page has received more than 4000 'Likes' hit while other teams have received only 1000 Like hits.The Kerala Team's entry to the glamorous CCL will lift the morale of cricket players in Kerala and will do a world of good to cricket in general in Kerala.

The official logo and team jersy of Ammas Kerala Strikers for CCL was launched on 06th October at Kochi Taj Hotel. he team Owner Priyadarshan unveiled the team's official logo while Malayalam super star Mammootty launched the team jersy. The official web site of the Kerala celebrity team, Kerala Strikers, was launched in all pomp and glory today by actor, producer and director Thyagarajan. The website provides all information on the eam members, team owners, match fitures and all latest news. The Theme song was released by Indian cricket star Sreesanth on 3rd January. The presence of Kerala strikers in CCL will increase the morale of cricket players in Kerala and will do a world of good to cricket in general in Kerala.
