hangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering, Kollam was started in the year 1958. TKM is one of the 3 government aided and best choices of engineering college in Kerala. They are providing good placement training for all the students. Staffs also undergo for training and higher studies to keep their knowledge up to date. The college is associated to Kerala University, approved by the AICTE and aided by Kerala Government. This College has best infrastructure like each department have separate computer lab facility and all the department labs are connected through network. All the labs have 24*7 internet facility for both staffs and students. Here they are having very big library with collections of large volumes of books. There are separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Another main feature in this college is there will be a contact between staffs, students and parents. Each and every department has their own seminar hall.

This college has a big library which have over 71000 volumes of books and having around 120 journals both technical and non technical. The student and staffs can access the library on all working days and Saturday from 9.00 AM to 7.00 PM. The special feature is apart from the central library each and every department has its own library with special collections of books related to their respective stream. This library also has the desktop with internet facility to learn from e-books and e-journal.

Like library each and every departments have its own computer lab with lightening fast internet facility which helps the student to gain more knowledge about the area they are interest and they are looking for and which will helps all the students to keep update themselves with new technologies. This computer lab will operate on all weekdays and Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM.
Hostel facilities on Thangal Kunju Musaliar College of Engineering
There is separate hostel for both boys and girls. Totally around 1000 people can stay in hostel with around 600 boys and 400 girls. This environment is very good, so the students can easily learn without any disturbance. Security wise there is no pitfall. For NRI there is separate international hostel which is for students from other countries and students doing their postgraduate. The staffs also reside inside the college which gives more support to the students in the hostel.
