Shaul Hameed Memorial Engineering College started in the year 2002 and approved to AICTE and Government of Kerala. This college is affiliated to Kerala University. This college makes the students as very talented and making the students to face any challenges. In this college the students and staffs maintain the healthy relationship between each other. There is no ragging inside the college campus. This college bring the students as well skilled and making the students to role model to others.
This college providing so many facilities to students like computer lab, library, workshop, so the student will get to learn easily. Following are the some of the facilities providing by the college.Infrastructure facilities
This college has very good infrastructure which makes the students very comfortable. The faculty in this college are very efficient and its very big assets to this college. There is separate seminar hall for each department with computers and projectors, which helps the student to demonstrate their project activities. There is very close contact between the staffs and students, so it is very helpful to track the academic records.Computer Science Lab facilities
The computer lab are well furnished and having high configuration systems with latest model accessories. This lab having more than 100 desktops which are interconnected to each other and all the systems are having internet facility to all the systems. All the system having latest Pentium processors and using the OS Windows Server NT. the lab also have printer facility, scanners which is very useful for the students. All the staffs in the computer lab guide the students to understand the logic and then staffs guide the students to implement the same.Hostel facilities
This college provides the hostel facility to both the boys and girls separately. There are totally three hostels, 2 hostels for boys and one for girls. In the point of girl's hostel this will be very secure environment. This atmosphere makes the student to feel comfortable and makes the students to live as they are in their house. There is no ragging also inside the hostel, it is fully prohibited. Hostels are inside the college campus. Inside the hostel there is telephone facility for the students so they can make a call to their home at anytime. There is internet facility also available inside the hostel so the students can learn a lot by using it. The food inside the hostel is very nutritious and healthier. The other features in the hostel are all students get daily news paper, there will be a common TV, there is separate study rooms etc. There is teaching staffs also available in the hostel which helps to clear the student's doubts. Library facilities
This college has separate building for library which is very spacious and peaceful. All the students and staffs need to be register as member in the library to use the library books and other facilities inside the library. Once they will register they will provide the membership card to use the library books. There are so many divisions inside the library like reference division, current affairs, current awareness etc. There is wide collections of books i.e., more than 7500 volume of books in this library which is very useful to both the students and staffs in this college. Transportation facilities
This college provides bus facility to girls. This college will pickup and drop the students and staff to all place inside the city and cover some neighborhood area also. This transportation facility is arranged in very safe and secure manner to both the students and staff. Both the student and staff can feel the comfortable journey during travelling from house to college and from college to house. Workshop facilities
This college having their own workshop for this they are having separate building which is very wide and spacious. They are divided the workshop into different divisions like Plumbing, Fitting, Carpeting, Smith etc. There is well knowledgeable staffs are there to teach the student practically. This workshop has sufficient machines to get work experience or to get knowledge on the study. This workshop is very helpful for the students in engineering to know about the work nature and to gain their skills on this area. Placement facilities
For placement this college will give so many training to all students and will conduct the written test in all interview points of view. So here itself the student will get the knowledge and experience to attend the interview in very confident manner. They will also guide the student how to perform in Group discussion and in interview. They will conduct the mock up interview also and point the mistake making in the interview, so the students will get aware of their mistake and they won't repeat in the interview.
