The St. Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology was started in the year 2002 and it is a minority institution. This college is affiliated to M.G University and AICTE approved. This college had a good name among the students and all the general peoples. This college is also an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. The mission of this college is to give the quality education to the students and make the students to meet the industry standard of excellence. This college has awesome infrastructure like separate hostel facility for the staffs and to avoid ragging there is separate hostel for the first year students and other year students. Other than hostel this college has well equipped computer labs, library, sports area, Auditorium, spacious class rooms, book stores, canteen, banking and so many. Library: This college library was started in the year 2002. This college has books both in the hard copy and soft copy, so the students can get benefit by using this. This college library is fully computerized. This library can accommodate more than 200 persons at a time. Each and every student will be issued with library card so each time the students taking the books from the library will be track buy using the bar code in book and library card number. There is separate division for reference and reading room.
Computer Lab: This college has very good lab facility. Totally around 550 desktops this college has. There is separate lab timing and apart from the regular computer lab period there is separate computer training timing class. This computer lab will open in all weekdays from morning 9AM to night 8 PM. This computer lab is fully networked and has internet facility. So by using internet the students can learn lo of thing for their respective subjects.
College Auditorium: This college auditorium is very big one which has seating capacity of more than 1250. This auditorium is build with surround sound system, projector and so many. This auditorium will be used for the college functions and the hostel functions. Apart from the functions regularly yoga classes, Exams, Placement training and meditation classes will be held in this auditorium only.
Transportation: This college has totally 11 buses and 2 vans for transportation. Both the staffs and students can use the college transportation facility. Both the pickup and dropping will be done and they have to follow the timing. This college bus will cover major areas inside the city and also cover some neighbouring areas also. There is separate committee for the transportation in which they will take care of the bus timing and the bus they will periodically check the bus conditions.
Hostels: There is separate hostel facility for the staffs and this hostel has around 24 double rooms. There is separate hostel for boys and girls students, in that around 350 boys can accommodate and around 500 girls can accommodate in girls hostel. The hostel students have to flow the hostel rules like study hours after the college time, dinner timing and so many. Placement Training:
This college is giving more importance to the student placement. The training will be arrange for the students and mockup test and interview will be held to the students and make the student to be confident to attend the interview. The training also includes writing the CV, GRE, TOEFL and so many. During the training the main focus to bring the student confident level high, for that they are arranging separate presentation sessions. After the completion of the training the student are ready to face the interview.
