Sana Althaf was born on June 6, 1999 to a Muslim family settled in Kochi, Kerala. She had her elementary schooling at a local school near her house. Later, she completed her schooling from Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya in the commercial capital of Kerala. She hopes to continue her studies taking commerce stream along with her other assignments in the tinsel town. Apart from the studies, she is finding time to practice Karate at home with her father. She proudly claims that she is a Black Belt holder in Karate. In the past, she has also anchored the TV shows aired by popular television channels of the state.
Tryst with Destiny
Once Sana Althaf told the interviewing scribe that she never wanted to be an actor. She further added that she was very much contented with what was she doing in martial arts, dancing and literary fields. She rather wanted to build her career in any one of these lines. The destiny has something else in store for her. She has entered into the world of cinema accidentally. Hence, the upcoming actress initially struggled to keep up the expectations reposed on her by the filmmakers. However, the young actress quickly acquired the tenets of acting from the seniors on the set to present a decent performance. The movie drew negative reactions from the critics and the general public. Hence, she could not cash in on her decent performance in the flick.
Career as an Actress
The upcoming actress Sana Althaf made her acting debut in the Malayalam film industry with the movie Vikramadithyan. In this film, she donned the role of ACP Adithya Menon and acted alongside Dulquer Salmaan. This flick was directed by reputed Mollywood director Lal Jose. The actress had to content with the supporting the role in this film. Her real break in the tinsel town came when she was offered a leading character role in the movie Mariyam Mukku. In this James Albert-directed flick, she acted opposite to Fahad Fazil. The name of the character in this film is Salomi. Though the movie became a flop at the Box Office, the young actress' performance was well noted by critics and the general public. The upcoming actress also featured in a third flick in a supporting role after the flop show of the second film. The name of the third movie is Rani Padmini. In this flick, she is doing the role of a paraglider. This movie is directed by another reputed director of Mollywood Ashiq Abu. We have to wait for some more time to see how this film fairs at the Box Office.
