Dulquar Salman was born on 28th july 1986 as the younger son of mega star Padma Shri Mammootty and Sulfath. He was growing up in Chennai and after completed his Primary classes the family shifted their residence to Chennai. His mind was a little disturbed about leaving Kerala and moving to a new school. But the Chennai move changed the appearance of his life in all means. More over he realized that it opened him greater possibilities for seeing his busy dad two or three times in a week. In school Dulquar was an above average student and had interests in languages, literature and other subjects. During his school life he stayed away from all acting related programs like dramas and was not interested in group songs and group dances. Dulquar did his university degree (B.B.A) from a collage in the United State. According to Dulquar education life in united state taught him to do many things. The Malayalam actor Dulquar Salman married a Chennai-based architect Amal Sufiya on 22 December 2011. More than an actor he is also an established businessman. Dulquar is the head of a Chennai based dental business group and also the director of Bangalore based Motherhood Hospital. His first business venture was a web portal for trading cars. Actor Dulquar Salman is the younger son of south Indian actor Mammootty. Before his debut film, the Malayalam film director Shyamaprasad offered him a role in his musical film 'Ritu', a Tamil film director N. Linguswamy has also approached him to offer a role in his film but Actor Dulquar Salman were rejected these roles. He believed that he need to study the cinema in detail for that he did a short term course in film in 2011. Dulquar Salman signed his first project 'Second Show' with his friend director Srinath Rajendran in this movie he is co-starring with Gauthamy Nair, Baburaj and Sunny Sujith. The movis is telling the story of unemployed youths. In which he played the role of a gangster.
