Roma Asrani is a popular actress who works in the Malayalam film industry. She was a model before she turned towards acting. She is most famous through her Malayalam films but she has acted in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films also. Her debut film was a Telugu film called Mr. Errababu in 2005. Though she has been acting only since five years, she has still won a number of awards already. The petite girl is really very smart and knows how to handle situations of the media well. Roma's debut film in Malayalam called Notebook (2006) brought her a lot of instant recognition and popularity among the Malalayee audience. She was also given an award for the film as best newcomer by Kerala Film Critics Association, Asianet, Amrita TV and Kalakeralam. Her next film was July 4, which was directed by Joshi and had herself and actor Dileep in the lead roles. But unfortunately, the film did not run well at the box office and was declared as a flop. After this, Roma enacted a lead role in the film Chocolate opposite South Indian heartthrob Prithviraj. The film was directed by Shafi and had a college campus theme which became an instant blockbuster hit with the youth of Kerala. Some of her other films in Malayalam are Shakespeare M.A Malayalam, Minnaminnikoottam, Lollypop, Colours, Utharaswayamvaram and Traffic.
In Tamil language, Roma has acted in the film Kadhale En Kadhale in 2006 and her Kannada film's name is Aramane which was released in 2007. So far, she has acted only in one film in Tamil and Kannada. In Telugu language, she has two films to her credit namely Mr. Errababu and Chalaki.
Other than in films, Roma has also acted in a music album by the band team Malayalee. The singer of the album was the popular Vineeth Sreenivasan who is also an actor.
